INGREDIENTS

2-3 (1/2 lb) small potatoes

1-2 (5 oz) carrots

1 (3 oz) small rutabaga

1 (2.8 oz) small turnip

1 medium onion

2 1/4 cups water

1-2 bay leaves

2 whole peppercorns

1 lb salmon

1 cup half-and-half

1/2 tl salt

1/2 dl fresh dill

DIRECTIONS

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes, carrots, rutabaga and turnip into 1/2” pieces

  2. Peel and chop onion into 1/4” pieces

  3. Cook the potatoes, carrots, rutabaga, turnip and onions in the water seasoned with the bay leaves and peppercorns

  4. Remove the bones and skin from the salmon (if needed)

  5. Cut the filet into cubes and add to the pot

  6. Let boil for 5 minutes

  7. Add the half-and-half and salt and heat until boiling

  8. Add dill

  9. Check how it tastes!

  10. Serve with a good piece of bread (perhaps, sourdough rye!)
